For Businesses

If you are a business owner or manager, you can help by funding a need, donating goods or services, or a portion of your revenues during certain days. We display a list of current business promotions on our website and send this information out on our newsletter.

Here are some examples of how businesses are helping!

Microsoft Management Excellence Community

Thanks to the generous donations by the Microsoft Management Excellence Community in October 2008, with matching funds from Microsoft, we were able to purchase the supplies needed to revitalize our hoop house.  The hoop house extends our growing season, starting some crops earlier than would otherwise be possible, as well as consider growing longer-season crops like melons, peppers, etc.

Disco Time Explosion

SYGW Board member Cinnimin Avena hosted a disco party fundraiser for 40+ guests at the Rendezvous in Belltown with Dancing Queen Productions, this last December.  All proceeds support SYGW programs.  Cheers to Cinnimin, the Rendezvous, Conner and all those in attendance-especially those in platform shoes!  Do the hustle...

Whole Foods Roosevelt Square

Many thanks to the staff at Whole Foods Roosevelt Square and the customers who directed their bag refunds as donations to Seattle Youth Garden Works!

The Corson Building

SYGW was honored to partner with Matt Dillon, owner and chef of Sitka & Spruce and The Corson Building. Matt was named one of Food & Wine's 10 Best New Chefs of 2007.

The Corson Building, located in Georgetown, opened to rave reviews in June 2008.

Divine - Greek Restaurant

Divine, a lovely Greek restaurant in Mapleleaf, is partnered with SYGW to accept donations of warm and waterproof outerwear for our youth. Thanks to Paul, the owner, and his lovely staff!
